263 Nigel Milsom at the MCA
When the Museum of Contemporary Art
(MCA) re-opened
after the extension had been added a while back, I was struck by one of the
first paintings I saw: Nigel Milsom's untitled (it's kept together by moving
all around, 2007). Since then Nigel has won two prestigious art prizes, the
Sulman in 2012 and the Moran in 2013.
Update: In 2015 he won the Archibald.
Nigel is a family friend we know as
a quiet, gentle, brilliantly creative man. His paintings are amazing and true
to the word, "unique". Recently Nigel's life went topsy-turvy.
Nevertheless, we love you, Nigel ... be strong.
