845 Guy Bourdin, photographer

When I was a photographer’s apprentice, in the late 1960s, every month we used to dash out and buy the latest Vogue … principally the French, GB or US and Italian editions (there were three apprentices in our studio). We devoured them for photographs by Jean Loup Sieff, David Bailey, Guy Bourdin et al.

Let's stick with the latter, who produced these photos (and many more as - if not more - outrageous) for advertising the shoe brand Charles Jourdan. Remember ... these were the roaring sixties.
